Medical Benefit Goals

Your medical benefits will now pay ALL the benefits that are listed in your Health and Welfare book and will do so in a timely manner. The following are improvements and are in addition to your regular benefits.

1. You will have your $10 dollar co-pay back.

2. You may choose any doctor you desire.

3. You will not need a referral to see a specialist.

4. Your yearly deductible will be reduced to $100.

5. It will pay for removal of transplant organs and the transport of said organs.

6. It will pay for all x-rays and lab work.

7. It will pay for annual PAP screens and mammograms.

8. Your prescriptions will cost $10 each.

9. It will pay the reasonable cost of one pair of eye glasses per year.

10. It will pay $2,500 for orthodontic appliances for each dependent child.

11. It will pay $1,500 per year for dental work.

12. You may if you choose keep ALL the medical benefits that you have while you are working when you retire by simply paying the SAME monthly premiums that the company pays until age 62.

13. Retirees medical coverage will only be $300 per couple per month.

14. We WILL do all of this for at least $108 less a month than your union is now charging you.

15. Speaking of retirement, we consider YOUR life to be YOUR life. When you retire from the APWA the only thing we will ask you about your retirement life is where we should send the check to. We will not impose any restrictions on your pursuit of happiness.
