ASSOCIATION OF
PARCEL WORKERS OF AMERICA
STAND TALL NOW
REASON FOR FORMING THE ASSOCIATION
The Association of Parcel Workers of America is
an organization consisting of employees currently represented by the
Teamsters union at UPS facilities throughout the United States,
whose pensions are now only a fraction of what had been promised and
whose other benefits under the Teamsters contract are less than what
they had expected and less than that to which they should be
entitled. Our organization is composed of UPS employees who believe
they have been misled and who are being seriously short-changed in
their pension entitlements and other benefits, and who are
determined to do something to correct this situation. All hourly
employees of any UPS owned company are eligible to join the APWA
The Association of Parcel Workers of America is a legal entity
incorporated in the State of Delaware and our principal place of
business is in North Carolina. Our Association is now a reality.
This organization can and will, with your help, turn our lives
around.
GOALS OF THE ASSOCIATION
Our new membership is composed of UPS employees
who believe they have been treated unfairly and are determined to do
something about it. Let’s face it, our Teamster pensions are a mess.
We all know there is no way to fix the Central States Plan, and most
– if not all – the other Teamster-sponsored plans. Some are content
to see their hard-earned pensions shrivel away to nothing and throw
good money after bad in the future. We believe that the vast
majority of Teamster-represented employees would jump at the chance
to “correct their pension woes,” if only there was a way.
To correct the injustices and hardships created by these mismanaged
Teamsters funds will not be easy, but there is a way. It will be a
long and difficult journey and the founders of the Association
cannot do this alone. We need your help and support. Our goal is to
have our Association ultimately replace the Teamsters union as our
bargaining representative, so that we can negotiate a contract that
will protect our interests and obtain what we have rightfully earned
through over many years of loyal and dedicated service. To “fix” the
pension situation, there must be new representation. It’s as simple
as that. However, new representation based on integrity, fairness
and justice is now available. We are confident that through hard
work and uniting together to attain our common goals, replacement of
Teamsters by the Association can and will be accomplished.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We will need your help and support. Please
consider becoming a member of our Association by paying a one time
initiation/membership fee of $150.00. This will give us the much
needed resources to expand our membership to the point where we can
request the NLRB to conduct a secret ballot election to determine
whether you want more of the same under the Teamsters, or whether
you want to make a fresh start with our organization. The Choice Is
Up To You!

agree with us, that the Teamsters need to be replaced and that our
Association can do a far better job of representing and protecting
